Disney’s
Port Orleans Riverside check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 11am. This
means that your room isn't guaranteed to be ready for you before 3 p.m. and the
resort needs you completely out of your room by 11 a.m. on the day you check out.

Orleans Riverside (originally known as Dixie Landings) is a resort themed to the
Mississippi-bayou area of the Old South. Appropriate to the magic of Disney,
numerous thematic elements recreate the feel of actually being in the bayou.
Each of the guest rooms has either 2 double beds or one king sized bed. All
rooms open onto an exterior corridor, and are roughly the same layout and size.

Resort
Pools and Recreation The
main pool area is found on the 3 ˝ acre Ol' Man Island. Here you'll find
a 12,980 square foot pool with a water slide, a spa, a kiddie pool (up to
36" deep), a wading pool and a short but fun water slide. The pools
and water slide are open all day (usually 9 a.m. to around 10 p.m.) and
lifeguards are normally on duty during most pool hours. Flotation devices
are available for sale or rent. The
island has a geyser at the main pool that shoots water through a pile of
rocks and debris, adding to the theme.
Five quiet pools are spread throughout the resort area. There are
change rooms/restroom facilities at each pool area.
TIPS: Guests must bring the towels from their rooms for use at the pool and
call housekeeping for additional towels for your room to replenish your
supply. Check out the back of

Besides swimming, there
are many other "water-related" activities to be found here. Get
a cane pole and some bait and fish
for catfish, bluegill and bass at the Fishin' Hole, a catch and release
pond. A 2-hour guided fishing excursion down the Sassagoula River, can be
reserved. The
Sassagoula River Adventure Cruise takes children along the Sassa Boat
and paddleboat rentals are also available. Take your own tour of the
Sassagoula River with some of the watercraft that is rented at the marina A
relaxing 25-minute carriage ride through Disney's Port Orleans Resort.
Carriage holds up to 4 adults or 2 adults and three small children. The
Medicine Show Arcade in the main building offers a fine selection of video
games and pinball machines Dining
and Shopping Boatwright's,
themed around the days of wooden boat building (including a large hull
"under construction" which hangs from the ceiling), offers
dinner Reservations are suggested, especially during busy seasons. A
children's menu is available.
Refillable mugs are available at any of the food court vendors.
These are 16-oz, sturdy, dish dishwasher safe plastic containers with
lids. Mugs are refillable for the length of your stay at a self-service
beverage island in the center of the food court. Beverages at the island
include soft drinks, coffee, tea, iced coffee and tea, and hot chocolate
(but not milk or fruit juice).
The
River Roost Lounge, adjacent to Boatwright's, is themed to a cotton
exchange/trading room and seats about 100 patrons. A full bar is
available, as well as light appetizers. Live entertainment is provided
five evenings a week. The
Muddy Rivers Pool Bar is located on Ol' Man Island, and offers drinks and
light snacks from around noon until early evening. Fulton's
General Store carries a large
assortment of postcards, souvenirs, over the counter pharmacy needs and
convenience items. There's a bulk candy counter, a snack area with a
limited selection of liquor, munchies, cold beverages, and toiletries.
