Resort Pools and Recreation

 A turquoise and purple sea serpent with a King Neptune-like figure riding atop its head, is the water slide that twists around the pool and carries delighted guests through its center and out its tongue into the pool. A water spouting alligator band playing in a water-sprinkling shell accent the 8,500 square foot main pool, the Doubloon Lagoon. There is a kiddie pool near the main pool and in a garden area a short walk away you’ll find the spa.

 TIPS:  Guests must bring the towels from their rooms for use at the pool and call housekeeping for additional towels for your room to replenish your supply.  Check out the back of the lifeguard stands for park hours and weather information

 Those inclined may choose a friendly game of croquet

The Sassagoula River Adventure Cruise takes children along the Sassagoula River to learn the "Jester's" way of life. Along the way they explore the Sassagoula River and finally meet the character known as the Jester

 Boat and paddleboat rentals are also available. Take your own tour of the Sassagoula River with some of the watercraft that is rented at the marina

A relaxing 25-minute carriage ride through Disney's Port Orleans Resort. Carriage holds up to 4 adults or 2 adults and three small children.

At South Quarter games arcade you’ll find more than 50 state-of-the-art video and arcade games.

 Dining and Shopping

Mardi Gras parade props decorate the walls of the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory food court designed to resemble a Mardi Gras float-making factory. American and Creole cuisine is served here. Guests can feast on pizza, pasta, hamburgers, fried and spit-roasted chicken, barbecue ribs, red beans and rice, sandwiches, cafe au lait, fresh fruit and baked goods

 Refillable mugs are available at any of the food court vendors. These are 16-oz, sturdy, dish dishwasher safe plastic containers with lids. Mugs are refillable for the length of your stay at a self-service beverage island in the center of the food court. Beverages at the island include soft drinks, coffee, tea, iced coffee and tea, and hot chocolate (but not milk or fruit juice).

 Sassagoula Pizza Express will whisk fresh, hot pizza, cold soft drinks, and beer to your room from 4 p.m. to midnight seven days a week. Just touch "Pizza Delivery" on your room phone to order or for more information. A menu will be located in your room.

 Scat Cat's Lounge is located in the main lobby building.  There is a bar located by the pool.  You can order alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages
