Check In

Disney’s Coronado Springs check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 11am. This means that your room isn't guaranteed to be ready for you before 3 p.m. and the resort needs you completely out of your room by 11 a.m. on the day you check out.

As you enter the lobby, feast your eyes on La Fuente de Las Palomas or the "Fountain of the Doves" as the spring water trickles over the Spanish-style urn and gathers amidst the colorful tiles. The resort theming is based on a mix of Colonial Mexico and the American Southwest

Room Amenities

Guest rooms and suites are dispersed amongst three villages that surround a 15 acre man-made lake. The resorts feature rustic stucco buildings, Mexican-style bungalows and festive villages with Spanish terracotta roofs. The Coronado Springs Resort is divided into 3 village areas, the Casitas, the Ranchos and the Cabanas. The Casitas village or "Little Houses",. Each of the guest rooms has either 2 queen beds or one king sized bed.  All rooms open onto an exterior corridor, and are roughly the same layout and size.

Resort Pools and Recreation

The Dig Site is the main pool area at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and is themed to represent the important find of a Mayan kingdom during an archaeological dig. Here you will find a sand volleyball court, a poolside bar, and an enormous hot tub.

Behind the Dig Site main pool, children will enjoy the Explorer's Playground, is fashioned after an archaeological dig site.  A 50-foot Mayan pyramid is the centerpiece of this 120' by 90' pool. Water trickles down the faux aged looking ceremonial stone steps of the Pyramid of the Sun. Twisting out from behind the pyramid, The Jaguar Slide is a 123-foot long, 16.2 foot-high water slide with a jaguar perched over the slide to spit water at guests as they go down the slide.

There is also a children's pool here. Pool towels are available at the Dig Site. There are 3 quiet pools, one at each of the village areas, but guests must bring their room towels here as pool towels are not offered. Lifeguards are found at the main pool, but not at the quiet pools. Pool hours are from 8 a.m. to midnight for the Dig Site and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the quiet pools.

The Marina located on the southern end of Lago Dorado near El Centro offers kayak, pedal boats and electric boat rentals from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are also bicycles, both regular and surrey bikes, available for rental from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. They also have helmets for those that request one. In addition, they'll rent you a fishing pole, if you'd like to do some catch-and-release fishing on the lake.

La Vida Health Club (open 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m) is the first fitness center at a WDW moderately priced resort. It is 3,000 sq feet and has Cybex weight-lifting machines, free weights, step machines, treadmills, and stationary bikes. It also features a Precorps Transport cross training. The health club also has a 200 sqft sauna, manicures, pedicures, facials, massage services, tanning facilities and personal training assistance. One day, Length of Stay and Family Memberships are available for your stay.

There are two arcades, the Jumping Beans Arcade in El Centro beside Panchitos, and the Iguana Arcade at the Dig Site main pool area

. Dining and Shopping

Maya Grill, operated by one of the premier restaurateur families of Mexico is the full-service restaurant featuring a huge, wood-fired grill. Seating surrounds a Mayan temple replica. The Grill also features wines from Mexico, Argentina and Chile. The Maya Grill is open for Breakfast from 7-11 a.m. and for Dinner from 5-11 p.m

The Coronado Springs Pepper Market is the Food Court and seats over 400 in an open-air market atmosphere. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The Pepper Market Food Court is a different style of food court, the first "interactive restaurant" on property. You purchase your meals in a market-style set-up with various food stations. You interact with the chefs, visit the various food stations and keep going back for more food. Inside the large chili pepper iron gates, guests are seated by a host or hostess and receive a card. You then can stroll around the food areas, choose what you want to eat and receive a stamp on your card for each item you get (each guest receives his or her own card). At the end of the meal, you present your card(s) to a host or hostess and pay as you exit. A 10% gratuity is automatically added to your bill.

Pepper Market food counters include the following: tacos and fresh tortillas; Asian stir-fry items; American grill with steaks, rotisserie chicken, french fries; fresh pasta; specialty pizzas; cold and hot sandwiches; breads and sweet rolls.  There is also a grill with omelets made to order. Pepper Market is open 6:30 a.m.- 11 p.m. There is also a cappuccino and espresso window with gourmet coffees and pastries that opens at 6 a.m. A margarita and beer kiosk also offers beverages.

Refillable mugs are available at any of the food court vendors. These are 16-oz, sturdy, dish dishwasher safe plastic containers with lids. Mugs are refillable for the length of your stay at a self-service beverage island in the center of the food court. Beverages at the island include soft drinks, coffee, tea, iced coffee and tea, and hot chocolate (but not milk or fruit juice).

Rix Lounge is the 300-seat lounge offering specialty drinks and appetizers. The drink list includes the Strawberry-Banana Split and the Chocolate Martini. Appetizers range from chorizon flatbreads to a seasonal fruit and cheese platter. Rix Lounge is open from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily.

Siesta's Pool Bar and Grill in the Dig Site pool area, offers counter service food and drinks from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Room Service - There is room service available to resort guests, which offers continental breakfast (7-11 a.m.) and light (sandwiches, pizza, snacks) all-day dining (11 a.m.-11 p.m.).

Panchito's Gifts and Sundries is a 6,000 square-foot shop filled with Indian and Mestizo handicrafts and Disney's own character merchandise. The shop is named after Panchito, the Mexican parrot in Three Caballeros. Scenes from the Three Caballeros are painted on the walls of the shop, and there is a figure of the flying burro from the film that is central to the shop.
