Grand Slam
Pool
|
The
two pools at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort are surfing and baseball
themed. The main pool, Surfboard Bay pool, is located behind the Stadium
Hall (the resort's central area). Giant shark fins, surfboards and waves
circle the pool area. There is also a children’s wading pool here. The
Grand Slam pool is the quiet pool and is located in front of the Home Run
hotel. It is shaped like a baseball diamond with an "outfield"
sundeck and a water-sprinkling Goofy “pitching” from the center of the
pool.
Both pools range in depth from 3ft to 5ft.
There are showers, lockers, restrooms, and a laundromat at each pool area.
The buildings that house the lockers and restrooms are also themed. Pool
hours are from 8am - Midnight with lifeguards on duty from 10am-10pm
(quiet hours are from 10pm-Midnight).
Guests of any of Disney's All-Star Resorts may go to another
All-Star Resort to enjoy the swimming pools during their vacation
|
|
TIPS: Guests must bring the
towels from their rooms for use at the pool and call housekeeping for
additional towels for your room to replenish your supply. Life jackets are
provided free of charge and can be picked up at the pool area. Check out
the back of the lifeguard stands for park hours and weather information.

Resort
layout

|
|

There
are two elevators in each building, located next to each other in the
center of the building. There is also a staircase next to each pair of
elevators, and a room with an ice machine just behind them. There are
outside staircases at each end of each building, so if your room is far
from the elevators, you can use those stairways.
All the buildings have been
constructed in the shape of the letter "T". The top part of the
T faces inwards towards the pools and/or courtyards while the stem of the
T points back towards the parking areas. The buildings are all three
stories high.

This illustration will show you the location of each
room at any All Star building
Each resort room is numbered with a four digit number. Each
digit carries a meaning. The first digit is the building number (0-9).
There are 10 buildings at the resort.
The second digit will indicate the floor that your room is on.
The pattern runs like this: 1 thru 3 with 1 being the ground floor and 3
the top floor
Finally the last two digits will indicate the actual room
number on the specific floor. So our example of room #0122 would indicate
that the room is number 22 in building #10 (the zero indicates 10) on the
ground floor.
