Check In

All Star Music check-in time is 4pm, and check-out time is 11am. This means that your room isn't guaranteed to be ready for you before 4 p.m. and the resort needs you completely out of your room by 11 a.m. on the day you check out.

General Information

The All Star Music resort has 1,920 rooms.  The rooms all feature a framed poster and border of the building’s musical theme.  Each of the guest rooms has either 2 double beds or one king sized bed.

Each room has a nightstand, telephone, small table with 2 chairs, armoire, television, wall mirror and a clock radio.  An open closet area with shelves on top for storage with an iron and ironing board.

 Additional Items

The following are available by calling Housekeeping, but supplies may be limited on some items:  Bed Boards and bed rails, Pak ‘n Play Crib, hair dryers, extra pillows, blankets and towels. Refrigerators are available and can be rented and payable upfront at check-in. Internet access is available at an additional fee

Resort Pools,  Recreation and Shopping

The All Star Music Resort has two pools. The Calypso pool is the main pool and is shaped like a guitar complete with the Three Caballeros shooting water from a post in the middle of the pool. The quiet pool is shaped like a baby grand piano with the deck providing the keyboard, and is aptly named the Piano pool.  There is a children’s wading pool, but not a jacuzzi here.

Both pools range in depth from 3ft to 5ft. There are showers, lockers, restrooms, and a laundromat at each pool area. The buildings that house the lockers and restrooms are also themed. Pool hours are from 8am - Midnight with lifeguards on duty from 10am-10pm (quiet hours are from 10pm-Midnight).  Guests of any of Disney's All-Star Resorts may go to another All-Star Resort to enjoy the swimming pools during their vacation

TIPS:  Guests must bring the towels from their rooms for use at the pool and call housekeeping for additional towels for your room to replenish your supply. Life jackets are provided free of charge and can be picked up at the pool area. Check out the back of the lifeguard stands for park hours and weather information.

Maestro Mickey is open until 11:30pm and offers a variety of Disney merchandise from character merchandise and souvenirs to All Star Music sports wear. A small variety of grocery items are also available, such as snacks, liquor, sundries, and beverages. Some of the grocery items (such as juice and milk) are cheaper if purchased in the gift shop rather than the food court.

Dining

There is no full serve sit down restaurant at the All Star Music Resort, but there is the 550 seat Intermission Food Court. Drawings of such timeless performers as Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly grace the walls here. Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, hamburgers, rotisserie chicken, barbecue ribs, baked goods, fruit, kids' favorites (macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers) and "Blue Plate" specials are the featured fare here. Hours are usually from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.  Room service is limited to pizza, salads, soft drinks and beer from 5 p.m. until midnight.

The poolside bar, Singing Spirits, serves a continental breakfast in the morning and sandwiches, snacks and beverages for the remainder of the day.

 Disney Transportation

Disney's All Star Music Resort has its own bus transportation that may sometimes be shared with the other All Star resorts.  Guests will get a Transportation Guide/Map upon checking in with instructions on how to get just about anywhere on property, but here are some of the more popular destinations.

Magic Kingdom:  Take the Magic Kingdom bus
Epcot:  Take the Epcot bus
Disney's Hollywood Studios:  Take the Disney's Hollywood Studios bus
Animal Kingdom:  Take the Animal Kingdom: bus
Downtown Disney Marketplace, Downtown Disney West Side, Pleasure Island and Typhoon Lagoon:  Take the Downtown Disney bus

Resort layout

There are two elevators in each building, located next to each other in the center of the building. There is also a staircase next to each pair of elevators, and a room with an ice machine just behind them. There are outside staircases at each end of each building, so if your room is far from the elevators, you can use those stairways.

All the buildings have been constructed in the shape of the letter "T". The top part of the T faces inwards towards the pools and/or courtyards while the stem of the T points back towards the parking areas. The buildings are all three stories high.

This illustration will show you the location of each room at any All Star building.

Each resort room is numbered with a four digit number. Each digit carries a meaning. The first digit is the building number (0-9). There are 10 buildings at the resort.

The second digit will indicate the floor that your room is on. The pattern runs like this: 4 thru 6 with4 being the ground floor and 6 the top floor

Finally the last two digits will indicate the actual room number on the specific floor. So our example of room #0422 would indicate that the room is number 22 in building #10 (the zero indicates 10) on the ground floor.
