We've said in the past that anytime is a great time for a Walt Disney World® vacation, but in the summer, it has its own specialness. The Theme Park hours are extended into the late evening, so you can enjoy more time and you can see how neat the attractions look after dark. (Have you ever seen Haunted Mansion® or The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" at night? Ooooooo.)
The entertainment is also kicked up more than just a few notches. Actually, a lot of notches. One example is the extremely popular Sounds Like Summer Concert Series at Epcot®. And what's summer without music that rocks?
What you'll see—and especially hear—are some of the best tribute bands in the music business. They're so good that the real superstar pop music bands themselves fully approve them—the ultimate endorsement.
"We love to present Sounds Like Summer," said Bradley Ross, Talent Director, Walt Disney Entertainment, who scours the country and elsewhere for the very finest musicians who can recapture the authentic musical qualities of the classic rock bands with spot-on precision and artistry.
"These bands go beyond impersonations. They're lovingly dedicated to re-creating the music, and more importantly, the feelings experienced by those of us who remember where we were and what was happening when the music played in years past." Some of these extraordinary soloists and groups include Karin Lawson—A Tribute to Janet Jackson and Slippery When Wet—The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute.
